The boys did an excellent job of telling an audience a traditional Chinese tale as part of their Drama work. They used lots of expression and really entertained the audience.

The boys have been working together to paint a Longship as part of their learning on the Vikings.

The boys enjoyed having a visitor who came to tell them about tea from China. She showed them how to warm the pot and talked about the different regions of China that the tea they were sampling came from. The boys enjoyed their tea very much.

The boys all enjoyed making a tasty stir fried noodles dish as part of their learning on Scotland and China.

The boys have created some lovely pictures of Cherry Blossom Trees and Scots Pine Trees.

The boys love the stories of an author called Sue Hendra so decided they would like to write some letters to her. Hopefully she will enjoy reading them and looking at the drawings the boys made of their favourite characters in her books.

The boys enjoyed making their own compass using magnets, a plastic lid and a bowl of water. They also learned about the poles of a magnet and developed their understanding of the terms 'repel' and 'attract'.

The boys worked really hard on their bake sale to raise money to buy food for the Orkney Foodbank. They made Mince Pies, Rudolph cupcakes and cranberry muffins. They sold their cakes to the adults in school and raised £77.00. They then took the money to the shops and bought lots of food. We then took our food to the Orkney Foodbank.

Enjoying our Christmas Lunch.

We have all been enjoying our topic on the 'Titanic'. We have written newspaper reports, created timelines, made our own mini Titanic lapbooks and worked together to make a large picture of the Titanic.

We enjoyed dressing up to help raise money for Children in Need.
The children used coloured play-doh to create a model of the layers of the earth. They are familiar with the terms crust, mantle, outer core and inner core.

The class all enjoyed making model volcanoes as part of their 'Extreme Earth' topic. Once they had made them they placed in bicabornate of soda, vinegar and some red food dye. The volcanoes then erupted with pretend lava.
